Privacy

Last updated 14 October 2026. Welcomefold is made by Qloovi AS, Norway (“we”). We built it to collect as little as possible.

The short version

Hosts (people who create guides)

While you edit, your guides are saved in your own browser (local storage). They stay on your device until you share the link. Backups you download are files on your computer.

If you buy Pro, the sale is handled by Stripe through its Link service (Stripe Managed Payments). Link is the seller of record: it takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends your receipt. It receives your payment details, name, email address and country under Stripe’s privacy policy and Link’s privacy policy. We receive the order details (status, amount, your email and country) for bookkeeping and support, plus a random guide ID and a random one-time code that lets your browser collect the licence. We keep accounting records as long as Norwegian law requires.

A Pro live guide is stored on Cloudflare (our hosting provider) as encrypted data together with a random ID, a hash of your private edit key and the time of the last update.

Guests (people who open a guide)

Opening a guide loads the page from our host, Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and browser details to deliver it and protect against abuse (see Cloudflare’s privacy policy). We don’t log or keep these. The guide may remember check-out ticks and a copy of a live guide in your browser so it works offline; that stays on your phone.

The “Translate” button uses your browser’s built-in, on-device translator when available. Your browser’s own page translation, if you use it, is governed by your browser maker.

Buttons such as “Open in Maps” or “WhatsApp” take you to those services, under their own terms.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing about you, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you bought Pro and want a copy or deletion of your payment records (where the law allows), or want a live guide removed, email welcomefold@qloovi.com. You can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority.
